Life Drawing with Blayne Macauley - Nov. 9th 3-5pm
Step into the studio for an immersive evening of life drawing guided by artist Blayne Macauley. This class invites you to explore the human form through a variety of traditional tools—newsprint, hard charcoal, vine charcoal, and gouache paint. With the presence of a live nude model, you’ll practice gesture drawings that capture movement, rhythm, and energy before developing longer studies that dive deeper into structure and expression.
We’ll do many fast gesture drawings so that you can focus on enjoying shape, negative space, and enjoying the process, rather than perfection.
We encourages students to move beyond perfectionism and instead embrace the immediacy of mark-making—the messy lines, the unexpected smudges, the raw beauty that reveals itself when you truly see. Whether you’re new to figure drawing or returning to sharpen your eye, this class is a chance to slow down, connect, and expand your creative language.
All events at Art Studio Atl are age 21+
